Baths are taken seriously in Japan. They are less for washing than for relaxing and purifying. Japanese baths have a deep emotional and health aspect to them. Most spas in Japan cite the ingredients and minerals in their water, along with the benefits. Most baths are also family owned.
Tea bath bags are a cottage industry, and generally handmade. So, there are plenty to choose from, but they are normally not mass produced. It can almost be taken for granted that these are made organically, without a bunch of additives. They are made by families, and used by the same families.
